Mr Walters, regarding the first paragraph of your piece you clearly have no experience of the Supervision department of the SRA. I suspect many of their supervisors are working to their key performance indicators and not for the purposes of public protection. The could do with revisiting the Legal Services Act, may be they should arrange an in house course for them. Their line managers are ineffectual and incapable of rectifying anything that is going wrong indeed if they recognise it. The quality of this department is lamentable, many of them cutting and pasting reports to their hearts content and not understanding that a regulated individual who has their reputation on the line deserves that any report is started with a blank piece of papers. Oh and that we can see the joins no matter how well crafted. Lazy and ineffectual young organisation that is not even learning from their mistakes and developing positively. Mistakes are understandable and forgivable if one is willing to learn from them. But you are not you invite contempt and lose all credibility.
