14.10. Do you believe that the full facts were presented to the SRA on a plate? I expect that detailed investigation and audit was necessary. Whether that is £70K of legal and accountancy cost, I cannot say, but this was dishonesty over an extended period.

Perhaps the Gazette could ask the SRA to talk about its costs, albeit not by reference to any specific case. Commenters here might benefit from an explanation of the kinds of things that are done, and by whom.
