I hasten to qualify and apologize for my yesterday's comment, which was a bit curt, and indeed rude. I wasn't intending to reflect upon your general intellectual powers but upon the quality of thought occasionally evinced in your postings on this particular topic. Like so many Remainers you seem to have an idee fixe, although on inspection it is very difficult to see precisely what that idea (or guiding principle) is, or what exactly it is fixed upon. I must confess also that the more didactic Remainers do sometimes try my patience by their hectoring tones and resolute refusal to try to see things from their opponent's point of view. But that is no excuse for my discourtesy.
