Maybe it was, but if the SRA is trying to lumber you with its costs by appealing the substantive decision, why not have a go at appealing the costs order which deprives you of any part of your own £7 million costs?

The difference in size between the SRA's costs and Leigh Day's costs needs to be explained. I can well understand how Leigh Day incurred £7m, but I cannot understand how the SRA (not known for keeping its costs low) incurred only one fifth of that amount. I simply do not believe that the total costs run up by the SRA are only £1.5 million.
