I have checked with the Costs Lawyer Standards Board as to the regulatory status of Mr Carlisle.

The CLSB have confirmed in writing that:-

1. Mr Carlisle is not within the jurisdiction of the CLSB he not being a costs lawyer.

Mr Carlisle is not on the current Roll of Solicitors and does not seem to be a member of the Bar.

And when Mr Carlisle is not instructed by a qualified litigator to advocate in open court for reward on behalf of a member of the public, presents a mystery as to where his audience rights are then derived from.

Perhaps Mr Carlisle could explain - otherwise we shall be kept guessing in some sort of bizarre game of legal Cludo.

The CLSB do not regulate or authorize corporate bodies - only individuals. It follows that the costs companies (like the ones mentioned) that purport to be regulated are not so regulated.
