Anonymous at 13.24. Here's a thought. If you google "Solicitors Act" you will see that the checkmylegalfees.com article on it ranks at number one of nearly 6 million results and above the legislation itself. This is not through paid advertising (we have not spent a single penny on google ads), but through google's algorithms recognising it as the leading answer on the subject. Perhaps the better question would be to ask why so many people are now asking google what they can do about overcharging by solicitors?
