The SRA guidelines for clients who believe they have been overcharged is to make a complaint to the Solicitor or Firm of Solicitors who dealt with their claim and if matters are still not resolved satisfactorily to refer it to the LEO. I'd be interested to know how many of these former clients actually followed that route before seeking out and instructing JG Solicitors to pursue the matter for them.

Surely if a client believed they had been overcharged they would tackle their solicitor over it immediately upon receipt of their settlement cheque and not wait for nearly 2 years in order to challenge the deductions!
