Had the immense misfortune to experience this at a truly awful firm recently. 12 hour days is absolutely fine (for me, at least), being spoken to like a dog and being blamed for the 20 year poor performance and reputation of the firm is not. Left after 4 weeks with reputation and mental health still (just about) in tact, unfortunately for this poor girl she probably didn't have the luxury to just walk out earlier on. Glad she is able to continue to practice.
