The Courts cannot cope currently and with an inevitable massive increase in LIPS it will implode. We can always rely on the politicians to have no regard to the Law of Unintended Consequences. You would definitively think very carefully now before applying to be a District Judge. Stress will go through the roof if it has not done so already.

Mind you the same but worse is happening in the NHS. Nurses are leaving in droves and there is a huge deficit. I wonder how far we need to reach to the bottom before the pendulum will start to swing back to the other side?

The other week there was an article about the Junior Lawyer Division of the Law Society being shocked as to the level of mental health amongst junior lawyers.
