Most insurance companies have alternative revenue from different aspects of their business and I'm 100% certain (because I work for this company) that one of the biggest global insurers makes 95% of its global profit through investment, that investment arm has nothing to do with its insurance and in fact actually props the insurance market up.
Or to make it simple very rich people invest their money in a companies wealth scheme, this wealth scheme run and owned by a company that also sells insurance takes a cut of profit made on that investment...im sure you can work out the rest even if it doesn't fit your argument
