Agreed, anon 11.21, except that I think you will probably find that these unregulated lot charge more than solicitors, but tell their customers that they are cheaper, and are believed. Just check out how many of their websites say “cheaper than solicitors”, but of course don’t say that they are comparing themselves to the £650 per hour city firms, not bloggs high street solicitors. Of course if we said we were cheaper than unregulated providers, you know what would happen!
