Anon 15:04; you are advocating for investigation of any lawyer present at the event without any suggestion, let alone proof, of any wrongdoing.

Frankly, that is not the way our regulator works, nor the criminal justice system.

If I do not report you for stealing from your client account (and I do not suggest that you have), and there is no reason to suspect that you have done so, there would be no compulsion for an investigation to take place.

I expect anyone you are suggesting should be investigated for attending a charity dinner, where some attendees acted in the way they did but many did not, would welcome the victims reporting matters to the Police so that the perpetrators can be identified.

As previous commenters have mentioned, if I am at a football match and there is a fight, that does not mean that I was involved. Should each fan be investigated for potentially being involved purely because they were there? That is what you are suggesting should happen in this context.

I would think any reasonable person would expect the actual wrongdoers to be identified and due process followed.
