Anon 10.24 - it is often the case that costs are higher in proportion to damages on lower value cases than higher. Much easier to hit that 25% on case worth £2,000.00 as opposed to one worth £200,000.00. That said, the bigger question people seem to be missing is the calculation of the success fee itself, rather than the 25% cap. Most firms set this automatically at 100% and therein lies the problem.
