Anon 10:08. I admit, I haven’t received any such letters.

And I can imagine it’s pretty irritating to get a letter asking about compensation deductions when your client has kept 100% of the damages you recovered for them.

But surely that’s pretty easy to deal with isn’t it? Just send them a copy of your TP offer letter (or the stage 2 settlement pack) and a copy of the letter to the client enclosing the damages cheque.

When presented with irrefutable evidence that the client was paid 100%, that will kill off any further unnecessary correspondence.

The new solicitor will tell their client there is nothing to challenge, and move on, surely?
