Anon at 12.47 - just because someone disagrees with you or with Claimant's solicitors generally, does not make them a troll. Grow up and accept that people have different opinions, even if you don't like them!

As for the issue at hand and the rest of your comments, I would have more sympathy for Claimant's solicitors generally if they were consistent in their behaviour. I have had 3 claims subject to a finding of fundamental dishonesty in the last 7 months. In each one, the Claimant's solicitor has, within hours, come off record for the Claimant leaving the Defendant and their insurers to grapple directly with the Claimant to recover their outlay.

Funny how they quickly forget a signed retainer when there's a risk that they will incur costs they have no chance of recovering!
