I don't agree with Marshall on this.

I believe that mental illness is a disability and is treatable.
it flies in the face of the Equalities act to say that because he had a disability, he should lose his job.
This would be akin to saying that a solicitor who lost his limbs should be struck off because he can't write.

I would mention that I've known a lot of solicitors suffer from depression to alcoholism to good old drug addiction and a multitude of other ailments: it's time we remembered that being a Solicitor is a job; it does not protect you from being human.

Finally, if you have ever driven your car over 30mph in a 30 zone; you are a criminal and therefore should be struck off?
