A law degree or a degree and a conversion course is a must! It provides the basic knowledge all solicitors must have. Without it, I think that wannabe-solicitors are going to have huge gaps in their knowledge.

I am in support of the SQE; the LPC is hugely expensive on top of the cost of a degree (which is paid back depending on salary) and limits those who are academically competent based on financial status alone. Can you or can you not afford to do the LPC? Will you or will you not get a training contract? There needs to be some reform but the removal of the necessity for a degree is not the way forward!
