Absolutely galling figures but entirely what we expect from the LAA who, since they were give Agency status, have abandoned any interest in access to justice. We instead have an organisation whose sole objective is the mindless pursuit of costs savings to the detriment of everything else. Promoting access to justice runs directly in conflict with this objective.

The LAA is a busted flush. Since its inception we have seen the collapse of access to justice, petty bureaucracy of Soviet proportions, the haemorrhaging of talented solicitors from legal aid and a total contempt for the provider base. It needs to go.
