I have plenty of experience with Birkenhead (and recently appeared there at an infant settlement hearing). The court itself is refreshingly efficient in terms of case management. The judges at the court are extremely fair. However, the suggestion that the court is claimant-friendly is simply a myth perpetuated by the defendant community because the judges are actually fair and apply law the law properly. I have dealt with cases where the judges at Birkenhead ruled in the Defendant’s favour.
