Time for someone to check the quality of the SRA in approving ABS .? So how does the SRA justify getting it wrong so often?
Is it stars in their eyes? Or no business- nous or just no business experience themselves? Or ticking boxes ? A messianic belief in their current ideology ? Or just that ABS so often attracts chancers and outsiders who have no understanding of the rigours and qualities required of the law but want to make a quick buck and the SRA don't have the knowledge , wit or experience to judge ? Take your pick . It's a sorry tale .
The SRA trumpeted ABSs and yet are so silent at each ABS demise ; defeat is an orphan indeed; and the SRA should hang their head in shame ( and offering to pay some of the creditors out of their own pockets would be nice ! )If the SRA were responsible financially for their decisions like the rest of us they might gradually raise their standards upwards towards those they regulate!
