I do not condone this behaviour (should not practice without insurance in any event) but it is an expected outcome when access to justice, via funding, is impossible to achieve unless pro bono/reduced fees are applied by a generous solicitor.

I, myself, provide a lot of pro bono information due to funding difficulties. In esscence, inform people how to undertake the process themselves and the steps to take.

That said, had this Solicitor done the same thing, as a sole practitioner with insurance, he would be labelled a hero.
