Most solicitors are unethical and use probate services as a cash cow, they charge stupid hourly fees and most of the work is done by office juniors on low wages or students on work experience who get nothing, yet the solicitors still charges the customer an hourly rate for a solicitor level. Also charge for sending and receiving letters and making and taking telephone calls. They charge to do work on probate and then charge extra to do things required to do the probate work on top.

So please you can thumbs down the comment as much as you like, you're all just annoyed that you can't do what you want anymore.

Plus before you assume I work for the coop, I don't I have been in this situation where being on work experience during my degree I was given tax/probate forms to sort out, send out pre typed letters and just changed the name and address. I got no pay yet the solicitors still charged the customer for the time I spent doing the work.

Many of my fellow students did similar things in their work experience placements. So sorry reading all the comments here with you all knocking ABS companies and their marketing campaigns, look closer to your own practices it's rife across the country, stop defrauding your customers by charging them for work done by a solicitor if it is not actually done by them and done by a low paid/free minion.
