Unfortunately a bit late for my divorce, where the threat of whole life divorce spousal maintenance (with the further threat of additional costs if continuing to court for a judicial decision risking reducing the 'fairly modest' pot) was the 'weapon' used to force in my view an imbalanced settlement in favour of the spouse. In this day and age of equality, and striving for equality, the idea that one partner should 'keep' the other for the remainder of their life is an anachronism that needs burying, and soon!
