I think that you appear to be missing the point here. As with RTA's, the downward change in fees was designed to remove the ability for solicitors to be in a position to pay the referral fees.

I would suggest that the reasoning behind the MOJ taking this decision is to just makes the solicitors think about where they are getting their work from and the implications of paying for it.

On the basis that the fees being earned still out-strip RTA's there will still be a market for this type of case for solicitors so it will stop nothing.

My earlier comment, which contained a certain amount of frustration, was probably borne out of the fact that I have worked with you in the past and it just shows a complete lack of understanding about how the system works.
