As an MoJ insider, I can reveal that they have already drafted the report. A key summary is as follows:

1. We have one of the most lavishly-funded legal aid systems in the world spending more than comparable justice systems in Uganda and Bolivia.
2. We don’t recognise the huge gaps in access to justice highlighted by organisations such as solicitors and advice agencies who lack experience of working at the frontline
3. Our very expensive Access to Justice Computer system (purchased from Crapita) reports that 99.75% of people live within a short, 5-hour bus journey from a local legal aid family solicitor.
4. We think the need for Housing advice is overblown. Landlords are nice people and most problems can be resolved through a group hug. Housing legal aid will in future only be provided subject to a new 'Grenfell Test' where the applicant must demonstrate that the political embarrassment outweighs the cost of providing the advice.
5. We believe that face to face advice is so-ooo last year and we will be developing a new MOJ Online app (to be provided by Crapita subject to a fair and transparent procurement round) allowing poor people to get all the help they need by simply swiping right
