I always find these recent PI stories both interesting and very telling.

On the one hand we have most people on here crying out and moaning about the government PI reforms, but on the other hand, as soon as the big players that will be most affected by the reforms show signs of cracking and being affected, there seems to be outright glee.

This tells me that as a profession, we really blame ourselves (well, the big players) for the reforms and the mess, but don't really want to admit it. What other reason?
