I wonder why so few (if any) people are prepared to declare who they are when responding to this article? What the profession needs is much more open dialogue about the pressures facing those practising and working in support roles. From my perspective, very rarely was mental health or welfare talked about if only because it was seen a weak in the face of all those people who seemed able to endure high workloads, the unreasonable demands of clients and the pressure to bill, bill, bill. Let us hope that the profession does more to support the welfare of its people and takes notice of the various surveys on wellbeing.
