The proposed levels of compensation are derisory. My “free”time is very valuable to me and as I get older more so. To have one week where my mobility is impaired is significant if it interferes with my being unable to enjoy getting out and about,to restrict my enjoyment of a game of golf or my workout at the gym, to fully enjoy a much needed and anticipated holiday and frankly £250 doesn’t go anywhere near compensating me for that if so dozy so and so causes me injury resulting in such an impediment. We are all leading far more stressful lives and look forward to enjoying what free time we have, whatever it may be. I bet none of us, insurers included, believe such figures to be sufficient recompense for any curtailment of that enjoyment.
