No this is a good move Arthur. We have liberalised what was the profession admirably by deciding to remove the rule against maintainence and champerty and this was because the claims handling side of the profession which seemed at the time to be a great proportion wanted it. We also decided to demutualise PII because cut price conveyancers mandated it.

We decided to do away with the unified green form and legal aid scheme at point of source mainly because again of vested interests - crim firms and defendant insurers.

I don’t really see why we don’t suck this and see.
