I am afraid you are simply not right about this.

Why would my own insurer care if I said I was not injured when I called in about my RTA and then at a later date I did bring a claim which of course would not (in most cases) be against the same insurance company but would of course be against the other party's insurers?

I can speak from experience having been involved in 3 or 4 accidents over the years. You are encouraged to bring the claim and are put through to the panel solicitors immediately.

It almost feels like there must be some financial incentive for the insurer to send people down this route.
