Comment

This was a cross party committee who invited evidence from all sides. They reviewed the “evidence”supplied to its predecessor. James Dalton was poor in his evidence given
to the first committee, embarrassingly so, as was Lord Keen to this committee. They must have known what they were going to be asked and should have had solid evidence to back up what they said. They didn’t, how could they when it was made up? Having spectacularly failed to convince this committee then the bill should be thrown out. I would not expect any of this committee to vote in favour of the bill in view of its findings and given the government’s small majority hopefully they will decide not to proceed further and run the risk of a defeat.
