Because as mentioned numerous times we are currently still in the grip of compensation culture, the word whiplash may appear less in Medco reports but has been replaced by the STI's despite the fact a lot of cars from 2014 onwards have 4/ 5 star NCAP ratings for safety yet somehow people in those cars still get injured and suffer the same prognosis as the poor drivers driving older vehicles.
The tell tale fact is most claimants over an age of 60 years of age seem to only suffer a short prognosis period generally in the matter of weeks rather than the 14 month typical nonsense we deal with for the rest of the population, which would suggest that claimants of a certain age are less likely to agree the medical report if the details are not 100% factual unlike the vast majority of people who simply listen to the nonsense spoken by the claimant PI sector.
For every £1 given to the claimant approximately 50p is given to a solicitor in regards to RTA's, this 50p for every £1 spent is the reason for the reforms, take the thousands away for trivial sprains and people are less likely to claim and as such fraud and claim numbers will drop to the level before all this no win no fee American culture of greed was introduced.
I cant wait for the next few months when the true extent of the reforms take shape
