Well my lovely darlings, the truth is that we are not appreciated and we really never will be again. If we do not have a standard set of rules and procedures, it will be increasingly hard to identify trustworthy solicitors. Then we will be in the wild west. It will be no comfort to us , when the public are getting screwed right left and centre, to say " we told you so". Government and Regulators alike are averse to the understanding of complexity because it is not "cheap". It is far better to pretend that everything is simple - until it all goes horribly wrong.
