Suing a negligent organisation for causing harm to someone is absolutely a worthy occupation - I am extremely satisfied when a claim succeeds, knowing I have helped someone go at least some way to righting the wrong done to them.

As I noted previously, medical negligence claims are not simple endeavours (even 'never events' are argued on causation!). I'm genuinely more comfortable suing the NHS than bringing a claim for a potentially-dodgy RTA, because I know that the bar is set so high that to reach it shows the scale of the errors made.

As to salaries, don't get me started; only HM Government would say that the NHS receives enough funding and that its staff are paid appropriately, you and I both would argue to the contrary. My claims against the NHS don't set the salaries though, nor do they determine what jobs people choose to go into with their eyes open.
