A Brexit like majority perhaps shows the profession is about as split as it could be. I wonder if the MOJ spokesperson is willing to say the same about Criminal Defence solicitors? If he or she is, then I expect nothing less than a reversal of the nonsense that is the PPE cut from 10,000 to 6,000. I still haven't heard anything that justifies the cut, when the advocate is paid PPE of 10,000 for the same case. That's because there is no justification, and it is simply the Government saying "we don't like paying it". If you invent the rules of game, you should abide by them, as Defence solicitors have to.
