Thank you Anon 20.51. I have a query - and it occurred to me while the dispute was running - namely, why the non-returns button was not pressed much earlier?

I can (I think) understand its effect. And that more publicity might result. But leaving it to a point when many of the strikers would be feeling the economic pinch, maybe beyond endurance, seems to me to be bad tactics.

I'm not sure what the press might report. There's a longish article in today's Times that I have yet to read.
