"After a heart attack in 2010 Smith wanted to work three days a week rather than five. Pimlico refused his request and took away the van."
The irony on so many levels and what an own goal. Flexible work unless the worker needs flexibility. Generally, it's employers who try and treat staff humanely using common sense who have a lower proportion of disputes. Pimlico have gained an advantage over competitors by avoiding tax, NI and employment rights. As do Uber etc. They would have been better saving their legal fees on this litigation and put in place appropriate, up to date contracts. Mr Mullins is reported to have said he'll try and take it to "a European Court of law". Good luck with that-might have been worth asking Tom Linden's opinion first.
