It's not stereotyping at all. Read what the specialists in the field have to say on the subject. Basically, it starts from birth; society (via family, peers, school, work-force) forces upon the sexes different lessons and expectations. It is this that creates the differences.

No one is saying women can't do 'a' or men can't do 'a', but the conditioning means 'woman won't naturally do 'a' or men won't naturally do 'a'.

Can the psychological conditioning be changed? Well, yes of course. But we have to acknowledge its existence first.

Anyone wondered why the book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" has been so popular for nearly 30 years?
