You can't make a SAR because that does not entitle you to a copy of anything. Only to know what information is held on you.

I have had a client attempt to avoid a bill by doing this.

"I want a copy of my file so I can bring another claim"

"Well MR X, you still owe me Y in outstanding costs, so you can have a copy of MY file - to which I am exercising my lien - when you settle that bill."

SAR printed off the internet arrives.

"I can tell you Mr X that I hold the following information on you which is summarised as follows..."

SARs cannot possibly entitle you to the documents or you could ask someone to draft a doc for you, refuse to pay, then just SAR them for the doc.
