We were 50/50 male/female trainees at the firm I trained at in 1983 actually and it's very sad so women now earn so much less than the men who started then. I see more and more women going house whilst men get the massive equity partner pay. We need to try to ensure within couples that men play second fiddle to female careers just until we get more equality in terms of upper end pay.
