Ah yes anon @ 11:12. I can remember well the effects of the house red at the Inner Temple, getting the train back home after a night of one of the "dinners" as part of barrister training (or qualifying sessions I think they called it). The entire three hours in the vestibule end of the carriage being thrown about from side to side feeling like being on a roller coaster going backwards at 125MPH completely unable to stand, willing the world to end.

Even then it felt a bit odd that training to be a barrister involved sitting next to the then President of the Family Division and after enjoying pan fried Quail, getting absolutely plastered by unlimited quantities of red wine from what I was led to believe was one of the largest stocked wine cellars in the country.
