I would have thought that every employer ought to have policies around sexual harassment and bullying.
I think the comments to this story do illustrate the problems facing the victims of harassment, there are the predictable 'not all men' responses .

One the reasons that people don't report sexual harassment is because it's risky to do so. It's common for such claims to be disbelieved, or downplayed, or for those who do have the courage to stand up to face repercussions. It isn't enough to have a policy, you also need for the people in charge to be prepared to follow it and to take seriously when issues are raised.
Anon at 13.21 - I don't think that harassers suddenly turn into harassers when they get ore senior. I think most harassers know perfectly well what they are doing, and are capable of controlling themselves - they just gain a wider pool of people they feel comfortable harassing as they get more senior.

I'm slightly more puzzled by the reference to an alcohol policy but I suppose that you have a firm where consumption of alcohol at work is permitted it might make sense.
