Anon 13.05 - Anecdotal though it may be, from what I've experienced over the years, the instances of doctors and the like being struck off are far less.

I know of a doctor providing expert medical evidence in Personal Injury cases who was not struck off despite admitting, in effect, to fabricating a medical examination for the purposes of a report for a friend of a loved one. There is simply no doubt that a solicitor guilty of that kind of misconduct would be struck off, and rightly so.
