What an interesting idea. I have passed this on to my MP, Vicky Foxcroft, who sits on the all party Youth Violence Commission. If that goes nowhere, I may turn the idea over to 38 degrees. They have managed to persuade many hospitality groups to stop using plastic straws because of the environmental impact, so perhaps they could persuade manufacturers to stop stocking long pointed knives.
