Offensive or discriminatory words; oh dear ; how the hard -of - have taken over the mainstream; all things are offensive to someone and being able to discriminate discerningly has always been an asset and a quality to respect until the word itself became infected and perjorative; many do indeed believe the world would be better without all religions ; Richard Dawkins gets attacked regularly for saying purely factual evidence -backed statements that many people find offensive and supposedly hatred- inciting .
Sure the lady was unwise to express herself as she did but I hope to see a day when all this "I'm offended" nonsense passes and we respect that everyone has different views and may express them; my partner lived under a communist regime and laughs at our oh so sensitive pc attitudes - she and her friends would be beaten up by the police for just saying hello to a western tourist.
