Having now read the judgement and the tweets in context, all atheists, sceptics, and critical thinkers should be deeply concerned about penning legitimate but fierce polemics. Pointing out the crimes and wrongs connected with an ideology are now clearly now off limits to anyone who values their career. Only one person has to be offended and you’re done.

The part about Jewish conspiracies was a retweet. How many of us share things on facebook that we don’t agree with? I’m sure a great many – but it seems sharing is considered endorsement.

How absurd that retweeting an esteemed thinker such as Richard Dawkins could be the end of your career. He’s said things at least as provocative as what the lady in question said.
