My guess here is that the holiday companies who have unusual access to the government have persuaded the government their profits are at risk.

Interestingly a few years ago the BBC was leant on because it was broadcasting reports of customer complaints about their holidays. I will try and find the internet link.

The government has put pressure on the SRA who have come up with these warnings to satisfy the government. The SRA is beholden to the Government for its existence as it has little or no support from the profession so it will do as it is told.

Is this a case of the executive interfering with justice?

My experience is that all-inclusive holidays particularly at the lower end will cause food poising. This is because the customers all line up at the self-service food bins and all will handle the same ladles to put food on their plates. The danger is obvious because there can’t be a check on the customer’s hygiene when handling the ladles. Inevitably the ladles will come into contact with the food in the food bins. A lot of customers won't take care because they will be drunk from the all inclusive alcohol served throughout the day. My wife suffered food poising from a hotel operating this set up
