My knowledge of US law is limited to reading John Grisham but on that basis I suspect that maybe they have failed to appreciate that in this country people actually need to have suffered a quantifiable loss before they can recover damages. I think in the states it is more the case that claimant can sue and recover compensation just for the fact they have been "wronged". so perhaps they haven't done their due diligence and thing they can wing in and make a tidy profit.
More importantly, I am in Liverpool. I haven't noticed anyone "landing" anywhere either today or during the rest of the week. Unless they "snuck in" on the Disney Magic cruise ship which is currently in dock ......
