"The profession needs to represent the society which it serves"
What with a handful of illiterates, some criminal psychopaths, some people who don't speak English, and a load of people who don't have the intellectual capacity to pass the exams? The assertion is complete nonsense. The profession should be open to all sections of society that have the ability to become lawyer. That's what equal opportunities means. It does not mean six of these, seven of those and a handful of those others.
