It is I nteresting to read the comments below and see the focus of fellow solicitors on profit. People should factor in that the Co-op is a member-owner business and primarily exists to provide services to those members. The Co-op has given away £23m+ to good causes across the whole of the UK over 2 years (and counting: www.coop.co.uk/membership/membership-dashboard) and campaigned actively against modern slavery and loneliness, in conjunction with the Red Cross. Comparing the Co-op’s profitability to that of a city firm is comparing apples with pears. Daft. Oh, and yes, I am proud to work for the Co-op.
